Cask Marque at The Ivy House

Cask Marque at The Ivy HouseWe have been accredited with the Cask Marque again for 2017

The Ivy House Pub passed a rigorous inspection from a Cask Marque assessor, who is a qualified brewer with extensive senior level experience working in the cask ale industry.

Our pub is now part of the ‘World’s Biggest Ale Trail’, where users of the CaskFinder app visit Cask Marque accredited pubs to try the ale. Whilst there, they are encouraged to scan the QR code on the pub’s certificate to confirm their visit and climb the Ale Trail leader board and receive prizes. Currently, the app is used over 70,000 times per month to find Cask Marque accredited pubs, such as The Ivy House Pub. The CaskFinder app is free and is available from both iTunes and Google Play stores.

Backed by 46 of the country’s leading brewers and pub companies, the Cask Marque accreditation is only awarded to licensees who can demonstrate they serve their ale to strict standards.

Since its foundation in 1997, Cask Marque has inspected over 600,000 pints of beer and accredited over 8,600 of the country’s 60,000 pubs estimated to serve one or more cask conditioned ales.
