Tasting Notes: Many years ago, before hops were introduced into brewing, ale was flavoured with locally grown herbs and spices. In a modern twist on an age-old technique, Banks’s Botanical Beer has an addition of a secret blend of “Gruit” – the mediaeval term for such infusions.

The ingredients of the Gruit have been carefully chosen, however, to complement and accentuate the hop flavours – spicy, citrusy, peppery and floral. Banks’s Botanical Beer – a true taste of yesterday; today; and tomorrow!
